Mortgage Renewal

Your renewal letter is an offer, not a verdict.

Lenders count on you signing the first number they send. Before you do, let me check the whole market so you know what you're really leaving on the table.

Most people sign their renewal in about thirty seconds because it's easy, and that's exactly what the lender is banking on. The renewal offer in the mail is almost never the sharpest deal available. A quick review before you sign can be worth a lot over the years you keep the mortgage.

01

A market check against your offer

Send me the offer your lender put in front of you and I'll shop it against a wide network of others. If your current lender is already competitive, I'll tell you to stay and you'll sign knowing it's genuinely a good deal. If it isn't, you'll see exactly what else is out there.

02

Switch or stay, whichever actually wins

Moving your mortgage to a new lender is more common and more painless than people think, and sometimes staying put is the right call. I'm not tied to either outcome. The only goal is the one that leaves more money in your pocket over the term.

03

Handled early, so nothing lapses

The best time to look at a renewal is before the deadline is breathing down your neck. Reach out a few months ahead and we can do this calmly, with room to actually shop, instead of rushing to sign because the clock ran out.

Good to know

Common questions

Do I have to stay with my current lender at renewal?

Not at all. Renewal is the easiest time to switch lenders if a better deal is out there, and the process is far simpler than a new purchase. I'll compare your offer against the market and only recommend moving if it genuinely pays off.

When should I start looking at my renewal?

A few months before your maturity date is ideal. Starting early gives us room to actually shop the market and make a calm decision, rather than signing whatever's in front of you because the deadline arrived.
